Rupert Glimm

 

 

Rupert Glimm is a longtime member of the MUSE, Inc. Board of Trustees. Glimm was born in Chicago in 1958 and grew up all over the United States from Austin and San Antonio to Mystic Connecticut to Louisville Kentucky to Barrington Rhode Island to Arizona and back to Chicago. He started playing trumpet in Jr. High and got back into playing music in Chicago in the 1990s. He has been a Local 1 Union Carpenter in CHcago as well for a long time. 

 

Rupert's artwork he says is inspired by Russian Constructivists such as Kasimir Malevich, Alexander Rodchenko, El Lizitsky, and Vladimir Tatlin. He was introduced to these works in a film by Ron Pollard titled "I Found Malevich" which can be found here.
